Apostille is a special document that contains a code and it is placed on official documents. This is a simpler legalisation form of the document, giving it legal force in other countries. Under the Hague Convention of 5 October 1961 on the Abolishment of the Requirements for Foreign Public Documents Legalisation. The apostille is affixed to documents issued by the official bodies of the countries parties to the Convention. It certifies the authenticity of the signature and title of the person signing the document, and the authenticity of the seal or stamp affixed to the document. In fact, the apostille frees citizens from the tedious procedure of consular legalization to certify the authenticity of documents.

WHY DO I NEED TO TRANSLATE IN ORDER TO APPLY THE APOSTILLE?
In any country in the world, only documents in the State language of that country are accepted by the official authorities. Therefore, translation is a standard and integral part of the apostille process. The issuance of an apostille is the only procedure that may be required to verify the authenticity of the signature, the quality in which the person signing the document acted, or, if necessary, the authenticity of the seal or stamp with which the document is affixed. The apostille is issued at the request of any bearer of the document. The apostille is given on a A4 format page and contains a security code and a personal code of 13 numbers, as well as the web address where the apostille can be verified online. The process of issuing an apostille for documents received in Moldova is a very illustrative example of how important it is to entrust such cases to those who have relevant experience in this area. If you contact the Transletter translation agency, you will receive a free apostille consultation. To affix an apostille, you must have the original document, its translation and notarization.
